Position Summary: The Workday HRIS Manager is responsible for the overall management and optimization of the company's Human Resource Information System (HRIS), with a primary focus on the Workday platform. This role ensures the effective and efficient use of Workday to meet the organization’s HR and business needs, including system configuration, maintenance, and continuous improvement. The HRIS Manager will collaborate with HR, IT, and other business units to leverage technology solutions, enhance HR processes, and provide insightful data analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation, maintenance, and administration of the Workday HRIS.
- Manage system configurations, security settings, and workflow processes to ensure the system meets business requirements.
- Coordinate and oversee system upgrades, patches, and other technical updates.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements.
- Collaborate with HR and other stakeholders to streamline HR operations and improve data accuracy.
- Develop and implement best practices for HRIS usage and data management.
- Create and maintain standard and custom reports, dashboards, and analytics to support HR and business needs.
- Ensure data integrity by conducting regular audits and data validation.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on HR data analytics.
- Lead HRIS-related projects, including system implementations, upgrades, and integrations with other systems.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Provide tier-2 support for HRIS-related issues and troubleshoot system problems.
- Develop and deliver training programs for HRIS users, including HR staff, managers, and employees.
- Maintain user documentation and training materials.
- Ensure HRIS compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Manage system security and access controls to protect sensitive HR data.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with data privacy and security policies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in HRIS management, with at least 3 years specifically managing Workday.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Workday HCM, including configuration, reporting, and security. Knowledge of SQL, Excel, and data analytics tools is a plus.
- Project Management: Proven experience in leading HRIS projects from inception to completion.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and present complex data.
